Africa

A friend of mine is going to Uganda to do some charity work next month and she is holding a fundraising event on Friday 14th June. Unfortunately due to other commitments I cannot attend, so I promised her I would make her something to add to her raffle.
She is going to do some work with Doctors and Dentist as she is a dental Nurse, but has to raise the funds to get there herself.

I wanted something that was African themed and as I used to live in Tanzania, I decided to make an African Sunset Safari picture in glass.
I made 2 versions in glass and need to decide which one to give her.
I also made some coasters using the same templates

The coasters will be available on my website very soon as well as the African Sunset that I keep.

I hope that my friend raises plenty of money and has a fantastic time in Uganda, which I know will be full of joy and sadness, but hopefully she will come away with a sense of achievement knowing that she will have helped some of the people there.

Just finished this too and adding into the mix....

I think I will invite her round to choose what she wants to raffle :-)

Mosaic Tardis

Carrying on from the last post, I have started making Mosaics and decided I would love to make a Mosaic Tardis.
I have not added it to any of my sites as yet because I am still finishing it off, but thought I would show it to you anyway!
I must say that I am very pleased with the end result!
I will be making more items like this very soon.

Who doesn't love Dr Who!
With 50 years of shows there has be one Doctor that stands out to you!
My Doctor Growing up was Tom Baker but my all time favourite was David Tennant!

I am hoping to meet Colin Baker later this Year at the Cardiff Comic Con where I will be exhibiting some of my goods.

Here are some of the minifig Cufflinks that I have made with all 11 Doctors :-)

Hello Bloggers....Long time no see!

Well I guess I should apologise for the lack of posts, but it seems the world of facebook has over taken the general blog.
Though I have to admit, it is easier to look back through my blog posts to see what I was doing a couple of years ago than the constantly changing facebook or face ache as some are now calling it!

I have been busy working on my website and also adding items to my Folky shop
You can now buy a range of craft supplies from the website and I am adding to this daily at the moment.
Gifts are also being added to Folksy shop as I am not doing as many craft fairs as I used to and have decided to get as much of stock online as I can.

I would appreciate some feedback on where you prefer to look for items as in 1 website or a shopping website like folksy??

Hope everyone is enjoying the unseasonal weather as much as they can!
I am hoping people are enjoying surfing the net in the warm!

Competition Win

I entered a competition on UK Twilight a while ago to win a Movie Art Print and I had a lovely surprise a couple of weeks ago when I got an email to say that I had won.

The Picture I chose was the Bella and Edward scene from Eclipse as it captures so much of their relationship and it is a stunning picture in own right.

The artwork is stunning and you really need to see it in real life to appreciate it. Have a look on the site as it is enhanced on there Movie Art Prints

I am over the moon with it and it now has pride of place in my living room :-)

Huge thanks to all at UK Twilight and Andrew at Movie Art Prints

Ps Sorry for the lack of posts....facebook is winning over blogger at the moment!

Cards

GIFT CARDS
I have been meaning to design and make some cards ages and ages ago, I finally got round to getting a couple done. I had the idea for Gift cards about 2 years ago and just never really got going with it!

The Teacher card features a ladybird bookmark as the gift and I like the simplicity of it.

My Daughter is mad about Converse shoes just now and she inspired this Birthday card with the little Converse Keyring as the gift.

I am really pleased with the results and hope to have more designs very soon :-))

Comic Relief

After last night's episode of Famous, Rich and in the Slums I have decided to make a special album on my Facebook page Where you can buy the item and I will donate all the proceeds minus postage to Comic Relief.

Hopefully those who would like to make a donation will see something they might like and know that apart from giving to fantastic cause, they will get something in return so doubling the feel good factor!

Check out my album and remember new items will be added right up to Red Nose Day!!
